Back then of course I was a Top 40 junkie and really didn't have much place in my life for full length albums, just the singles. As technology advances things that once were a comfort in our life disappear.  That is what will happen with compact discs.  In my lifetime, I have seen records phased out because of 8 tracks tapes.  Eight track tapes phased out because of cassettes and cassettes phased out because of CD's.  Now CD's are slowly being phased out because of digital downloads.
