Has this been a weird year or what? I mean even though the state of Texas is slowly opening up it's still made things tough on us. This is, of course, is definitely true if you are a parent.
You always have good intentions. I will go to sleep at a decent time tonight. I will get up on time and maybe even get a little exercise in. It used to be that you would think "hey getting to work only takes me ten minutes" Heck pretty much everything is ten minutes away here in Amarillo.
It used to be that we didn't have time to workout. Then we were on lock down and we had all the time in the world. Have we been working out? Some may say a very big yes. For those of you I am extremely proud.
All this time that you have been home and working have you heard of the Quarantine 15? They compare it to the Freshman 15. You know where you gain 15 pounds when you start college because of all the freedom to eat what you want and when.
If I were to list a bunch of shows on Netflix could you honestly say you haven't binge watched them? I mean looking through Facebook I can tell a lot have watched Tiger King and Ozark that is for sure.
Zoom meetings have made staying connected during this time a lot easier. For the most part that is. I mean we do get to see our co-workers that we are displaced from. We get to chat with our boss and come up with new ideas. Who would have thought that when 2020 that this would be our reality?
I have always been a person who had dreams. By that I mean literally when I went to bed. For the most part I would remember them. I seem to be having more during this whole covid-19 episode.
We are getting used to going out to the stores and seeing people wearing face masks. That has become quite the norm. How about gloves? Have you been seeing those as much too?
So we know that a lot of people are wearing masks when they go out of the house these days. I see conflicting stories about whether they are necessary or not. I don't have one to wear. If it becomes a thing that we HAVE to wear them I will figure something out.
We are not getting out of our house as often as we would like. We are making fewer stops at the grocery store. So we want to make sure that our groceries last as long as they possibly can.
It's never any fun to get sick. Now, though, more than ever I feel people have been taking the extra precautions. I have noticed it. You have had to as well.
A lot of things that we have done in the past is not in our normal day in and day out these days. We can't go out and eat AT a restaurant. We have to bring it home. It's just how it is right now.
