March 22, 2013 So over the last few days my son has been talking about the Easter Bunny. He keeps talking about what the Easter Bunny is gonna bring him. I am not talking just a basket full of candy, and eggs. He is expecting the Easter Bunny to bring him an $85 Lego set. I have no idea where he got the idea that the bunny is the equivalent to Santa.

March 14, 2013 I have heard some interesting punishments from parents who are trying to get through to their kids. Some parents make their kids stand on a busy intersection holding a sign saying what they did wrong. Others, make their kids do manual labor. However, in a society where spanking doesn't occur much anymore, this Colorado mother thought she would try something different.

March 8, 2013 You know what I'm gonna miss most someday? All the conversations in the car with my kiddos. When it's just me and one of them, one-on-one, I learn a lot about them... who they are, what they like, what they DON'T like.
There may be hope for the existence of a real-life Superman. He's a little young right now, but he's already got the attire, the awesomely nonchalant attitude, and the ability to fall out of a window and land on his feet.
March 5, 2013 While I don’t think that it is always a conscious effort, most of us definitely care about what others think. If we didn’t care at all, we just might show up to work in our pj’s with bedhead every day. It doesn’t end with our looks, either. Whether it is trying to impress the boss, our friends, or our professors, we care about the impression that we give to others, sometimes way too much. The truth is, we HAVE to care just to blend in. Those who dress in an “odd” manner, who make “strange” remarks, or who simply prefer to be individuals are often labeled as misfits or social outcasts.
