As you know Amarillo has a lot of construction going on right now, from Loop 335 to the interchange.  This construction causes delays and can mess up your commute.  Here are the areas this week you want to avoid.  You might want to find alternate routes for your daily commute.

The Texas Department of Transportation wants you to be safe and that's why they remind you about where to watch out for lane closures and road construction.   This week it seems everywhere you drive in the area you will run into some type of road construction or lane closure.

I don't know about you, but it seems that when the holidays roll around so does the road construction.  It always happens on some of the most traveled roads in the area.  Here is a list of the areas in Amarillo you might want to avoid on your commutes, since there will be construction going on and it will likely slow down traffic.

If you have traveled on I-40 either direction from the interchange to about Grand Street, you may have noticed that they are currently doing construction and have lanes closed on each side.  This is just one thing wreaking havoc on traffic in Amarillo.  Here's all your lane closures for the week.

As the construction continues on the interchange at I-27/I-40 motorists in Amarillo have had to deal with delays in the area.  The delays will continue and coming up later this week you might have to find an alternate route around the area.
