If you thought construction on I-40 was bad, just wait, this week you'll have to dodge more construction as they patch different areas all over I-40.

The list of lane closures and road construction is long and goes on and on and on. Here's some new areas of construction you'll want to avoid this week on your commute.

In February this year a semi-truck went off the Bushland Bridge and damaged the westbound portion of the bridge. Due to the damage that was cause the bridge has to be replaced. The construction of the bridge begins today.

The construction continues in Amarillo.  Here's the areas you are going to want to avoid when getting the kids dropped off at school this week.

The Bell Street Bridge over I-40 has been demolished and is now officially closed.  That's just one of the updates this week from the Texas Department of Transportation.  Here's what you can expect this week.

We had the opportunity to talk with Sonja Gross with the Texas Department of Transportation about all the construction going on in Amarillo.  She gives us updates on Bell, Soncy, the Interchange, the Loop and the upcoming Bushland Bridge construction.

The construction is a nightmare for most in Amarillo.  However, if we look on the bright side, once it is finished we will have some nice, safe bridges and roads in Amarillo.

Another project will begin this week as they start preparing for the demolition of the bridge at I-40 and Bell.  So expect delays from one side of I-40 to the other in Amarillo

If you use I-40 and Soncy at night you'll need to find an alternate route for the next few days.
