A family in the city of Santa Fe Springs, California is being told that they have to tear down their child's backyard playset.  This playset was purchased by the Make-A-Wish Foundation for their daughter who suffers from a seizure disorder.

In possibly the most heartwarming news of the year, the Make-a-Wish foundation has granted the wish of five year-old Batman super fan Miles, who will get to dress as his favorite crime-fighting superhero and defeat some of the caped crusader's famous villains. The foundation is turning San Francisco into the streets of Gotham for a day just so little Miles can make his dreams come true!

Justin Bieber is a do-gooder -- for example, he frequently meets sick or disabled fans at his shows. And he's done it so many times now that he just broke a record at the Make-A-Wish Foundation by becoming the first musician to fulfill 200 wishes.

The father of a four-year-old leukemia survivor will not sign off on a trip to Disney World as part of a Make-A-Wish “gift” since he feels that it would be an improper use of donations. His reasoning? The little girl is cured.

The Great Food Truck Race is a show on the Food Network.  The reality show hosted by FN Chef, Tyler Florence,  pits 7 different food trucks against each other as they travel throughout the country.  The objective of each truck each week is to have the highest amount of sales and the least is eliminated.  The upcoming season contestants will be making their way into Amarillo this week!

It warms my heart to hear and see wonderful things happen for children who are battling illness.  Especially and illness that could kill them.  Kye, a 7-year old battling leukemia had his wish to be Batman granted earlier in the month.  The Arlington Police department stepped up and put together a "fake" bank robbery for the little boy.

A fun event is happening this weekend benefiting Make-A-Wish North Texas Chapter.  If you have never been to a roping then you need to make plans to attend this weekend at the Amarillo Tri-State Fair Grounds.

Make-A-Wish is an organization that grants wishes to kids with life threatening illnesses.  Most kids wish to go to Walt Disney World or to meet a celebrity.  However, Maxwell Hinton, wanted to blow-up a building.
