June 5, 2012 In honor of adopt a shelter cat month, I thought I would share my story. My cat adoption story. My almost 3-year old kept talking about a kitty and wanting a kitty and I wanted to make that dream a reality for him.
There’s an old adage that says people and their dogs eventually start to look alike. But new research shows the type of dog we choose actually has a lot to with how well they match our own personalities, too.
Sometimes we do not treat our pets as well as we should. Pet owners all across the world have been guilty at one point or another for cutting corners on pet food and other supplies as a means to making pet ownership a little more cost friendly.

Just ask Mitt Romney, who still gets grief about the time he strapped his Irish Setter — who was suffering from diarrhea — to the roof of his car during a family trip in 1983. Nevertheless, it seems that most pet owners still take their favorite furball on vacation with them.

April 9, 2012 A few years ago, (OK, probably 6 years), I bought a friends little girl a hermit crab for her birthday. She had been talking about hermit crabs forever and I thought, hey it's a hermit crab and they are really easy to care for when it comes to the caged animal species. However, the sad phone call I received 2 weeks later broke my heart.
February 22, 2012 Apparently, pet napping is becoming a new trend across the U.S. People are stealing animals in order to sell them on the internet, roadsides, through ads or even hold for ransom. However, this one pet napping story is a bit different. A man was out walking his dog when a knife-wielding man pulled a knife on him demanding his money. When the man had no money to give the mugger took his shih-zu puppy.
February 15, 2012 As a society we love our pets, they are like children. Most pet owners love to keep their pets groomed. Since most people don't know how to keep their pets groomed and trimmed they take them to a groomer. Pet owners trust their groomers as they do their vets. That is why this story is so heartbreaking. Groomers at a PetCo in Hawaii cut off a dog's ear then glue it back on to cover up their mistake. This wasn't the first incident of this groomer cutting off a pet's body part.
January 24, 2012 I have never lived in a place where I had to take an elevator to get to my home. I have dogs but they have always had free reign of the backyard, to run around and do their business. I don't have to take them out for walks or to potty. When you live in an apartment building you do have to do things like that for your animal. However, it is always a good idea to make sure your dog is in the elevator with you before you hit the buttons or you could have something like this happen.
January 4, 2012 Clint Eastwood is one guy you would never want to cross. His characters can scare the poop out of you with one sly eye. So why do I find it so ironic that Dirty Harry has befriended a squirrel.
