Helena Bonham Carter Will Play Liz Taylor in a Biopic That's Already Better Than 'Liz & Dick'

To make up for besmirching Liz Taylor's memory with the Lindsay Lohan dud 'Liz & Dick,' the BBC has hired Helena Bonham Carter to take a shot at playing the violet-eyed screen legend.

It hasn't even started shooting, but we're sure it's already better than the travesty that preceded it. Then again, to make a film about Taylor worse than that, it would probably need to be a musical set in space with puppets and Russell Crowe singing all the roles.

No, wait. Even that sounds better.

Officially ordered to pilot, CBS' forthcoming Eddie Murphy-produced 'Beverly Hills Cop' sequel TV series has been on a bit of a roll of late, yesterday casting comedian Kevin Pollak for a recurring role on the series. With Brandon T. Jackson in the lead and Eddie Murphy set to make occasional appearances, 'Beverly Hills Cop' has officially cast its own Judge Reinhold figure with former 'The Office' player David Denman. But, will Judge himself return, lest he be judged?

Regis Philbin Announces His Final 'Live!' Show Will Be November 18

He’s been talking about retiring from ‘Live! With Regis and Kelly’ for months, and now television stalwart Regis Philbin has announced his final show will be on Friday, November 18.

The show, which started in 1983 as a local New York City program called ‘The Morning Show,’ went national with co-host Kathie Lee Gifford in 1988. Actress Kelly Ripa stepped in as Gifford’s replacement after she left the show in 2000.
