As 'Harry Potter' stars Danielle Radcliffe and Emma Watson move on to greener pastures, so too is director David Yates with his upcoming 'Tarzan' reboot. We've heard talk of 'True Blood' heartthrob Alexander Skarsgard in the lead to wear the famous loin cloth, but what of the apple of his eye, Jane?

While the question of which actor will become 'Tarzan' is being sorted out, we've now learned that the race for Jane is finally beginning. The New York Post, though not necessarily the go-to source for casting rumors, is reporting that 'Zero Dark Thirty' star Jessica Chastain is the top choice for the ape-loving leading lady.

In this new reboot, Tarzan, who will go by John Clayton III, will find himself fully assimilated into civilization in London, until the Queen asks him to investigate trouble in the Congo, which is being threatened by a vicious warlord. Samuel L. Jackson is said to be eyed for Tarzan's comrade who helps save the jungle.

Aside from Skarsgard, 'The Dark Knight Rises'' Tom Hardy, 'Man of Steel's' Henry Cavill and 'Pacific Rim's' Charlie Hunnam are also said to be in the running to run with the gorillas in 'Tarzan.' However, Hardy is set for the lead in 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' Cavill is reportedly onboard for 'Justice League' and Hunnam will most likely partner up with Guillermo del Toro again for 'Crimson Peak,' so perhaps Warner Bros. already unofficially has their male lead all worked out.

But what about Jessica Chastain? Would she make a good Jane? Do you think she's even interested in the part? Give us your theories in the comments while we track down further updates.
