Taylor Swift is the latest pop star to fall victim to an awkward stage malfunction.

During the Philadelphia stop of her ongoing Reputation tour on Saturday night (July 14), the 28-year-old singer got stuck mid-air in a so-called "sparkly basket" while performing 2017 hit "Delicate." The prop was supposed to carry her across the stadium from the main stage to a smaller side stage so she could get closer to fans, but instead rose up and suddenly topped, leaving her stranded above thousands of concertgoers.

"I'm pretty sure I'm stuck up here. It's a nice view, though," she said.

After the song had finished, Swift candidly explained the technical difficulties.

"So what you just saw was me going like straight up and down in this sparkly basket. It's supposed to take me to the other side of the stadium," she said. "So what happens now is basically I'm just chilling waiting to figure out what happens next."

As stagehands worked to resolve the problem, Swift ended up turning the mishap into a special moment, quipping, "This is so boring for you, I'm so sorry," before breaking into an a cappella sing-along of her 2007 track "Our Song."
