Country-pop crossover cutie Taylor Swift is being sued over a botched Canadian show, known as "Capital Hoedown," even though the fact that the show never took place is not her fault. The promoters simply want the $2.5 million advance they paid the singer to be returned.

T. Swizzle was tapped to headline the event, which was scheduled to take place in Ottawa last August. The organizers were unable to get the show off the ground and it was ultimately canceled.

A federal lawsuit filed in New York claims Swift was paid upfront. Her rep says she never made a deal with the ticket company so she's clearly in no rush to write them a check to cover the advance after ticket refunds, which would mean she'd still net a profit.
