The Great Food Truck Race Coming to Amarillo at Homer’s Backyard Ball
The Great Food Truck Race is a show on the Food Network. The reality show hosted by FN Chef, Tyler Florence, pits 7 different food trucks against each other as they travel throughout the country. The objective of each truck each week is to have the highest amount of sales and the least is eliminated. The upcoming season contestants will be making their way into Amarillo this week!
According to Brooke Hale, Marketing Director of Homer’s Backyard Ball, they are expecting at least 4 of the food trucks to set up at Homer’s Backyard Ball this Saturday! So not only can get get live music, BBQ and fun, you can help your favorite Great Food Truck Race Truck win this elimination round.
Homer’s Backyard Ball is a day long Texas Country Music festival and BBQ Cook-off benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This years line-up includes Cody Canada and the Departed, Tejas Brothers, The Dirty River Boys, Casey Berry and the Live Texas Mosquitos, Tommy Gallagher Band, Gary P. Nunn, Cruise Duke, No Dry County, and The Texas Heat
Cost is $25 in advance, $30 at the gate
The event is BYOB and BYOC (chair). Coolers are allowed.
Pets and Glass containers are not allowed
Sprouse, Schrader, and Smith will be offering Free BBQ at their tent from 3p – 6p on Saturday.
The event takes place I-40 E and Whitaker Rd.
Gates open at 11am
