It's that time of year again, to buy an extra bag of food when you go grocery shopping.  The High Plains Food Bank's Together We Can Food Drive starts on Monday.

The Drive will run through Saturday, December 8th from 9am-10:30pm each day.

Just stop by and drop your donations off at Market Street United at 26th and Georgia.

The most needed items this year include:
canned green beans
canned sweet peas
canned mixed fruit or any kind of canned fruit
canned potatoes
canned beans

If you cannot make it to Market Street United, HPFB donation barrels will be placed at all United Supermarkets in Amarillo and Canyon.  Plus we have barrels available here at the Mix 94.1 Studios at 6214 W. 34th.

You can also purchase a red Food Bank can “scan tag” for $1 at the  register of any United Supermarket here in the Texas Panhandle through Dec. 8. United will match a portion of all "scan tags" sold and donate that to the HPFB.

It is almost unimaginable what it would be like to go hungry and at least 21,000 people in the Texas Panhandle face that on a weekly basis.

So let's join together to help the High Plains Food Bank because "Together We Can" help fight hunger in the Texas Panhandle.
