Three Vehicle Wreck on Hollywood Sends One to Hospital with Life Threatening Injuries

A three vehicle wreck on Hollywood Road yesterday, sends one woman to the hospital with life threatening injuries.  The victim's name has yet to be released because the police are still trying to notify next of kin.

UPDATE: The woman has been identified as Diana L McGinnis, from Carlsbad New Mexico, but has been living in Amarillo.

The wreck occurred on the 7100 block of Hollywood road.

A 1992 Ford Ranger driven by the 56-year old white female, was traveling west bound at a high rate of speed.  The ranger rear ended a 2013 Ford F-350 that was driven by Kourtney Paige Evans, 27.  The Ford f-350 driven by Evans, hit a 2004 Chevy Silvarado driven by Jackson Donald Zaharia, white male, 35, of Amarillo.  The driver of the Ranger was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.  The police have yet to release her identity pending notification next of kin.

The other drivers were treated on the scene.

The Amarillo Police Department are still investigating the incident, speed was a factor in the wreck, and they are determining if intoxicants were a factor.
