Titanic Discovery Day

Back on this day in 1985 an American-French expedition by led by marine geologist Dr. Robert Ballard located the wreck.  The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912 and over 1,500 lives perished on that fateful night.ti

Almost 75 years after the Titanic went down after crashing into an iceberg, this group of scientist finally found the ship which was now a tomb for those who died and piece of history under the North Atlantic.

Since the discovery many documentaries have been made about the ship and James Cameron became a very rich man off a movie about the Titanic and a imaginary love story that took place between a young socialite named Rose and a drifter named Jack.

Since the discovery the ship has remained on the ocean floor with artifacts being brought up and put in museums all over the world.
