After coming under fire for standing up for their Christian beliefs on traditional marriage, Chick-Fil-A was thrown into the media spotlight.  Supporters, including Mike Huckabee, of the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain have made today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Supporters are encouraging people to stop by their favorite Chick-fil-A restaurant and have breakfast, lunch or dinner.

According to the facebook event page:

Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1. Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm
traditional values, we're considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant. This effort is not being launched by the Chick Fil-A company and no one from the company or family is
involved in proposing or promoting it.

There's no need for anyone to be angry or engage in a verbal battle. Simply affirm appreciation for a company run by Christian principles by showing up on Wednesday, August 1

According to a report by the Temkin Group back in March, out of 10,000 people surveyed Chick-fil-A tied for first place as the best restaurant chain with Subway and Starbucks.

So no matter what your beliefs are, if you choose to support Chick-fil-A then stop by and have some of their delicious chicken today.

Here in Amarillo you can find Chick-fil-A at 45th and Coulter, 26th and Georgia and in the food court at Westgate Mall.

If not, then don't.

The great thing is we live in a country where we do have the right to support or boycott a organization because of their beliefs.
