Toot’n Totum and Local Media Help the Fire Victims
February 28, 2011 — Toot’n Totum and the Amarillo media have joined together to raise funds for victims of the February 27th fires in the Texas Panhandle.
Beginning tonight, cash and check donations will be accepted at all 62 Toot’n Totum locations, including Borger, and 100% of the money collected will go to help those affected by this disaster. All money raised will be given to the Texas Panhandle and East Texas Chapters of the Red Cross and will be distributed through their Disaster Services.
“In a city of Amarillo’s size, everyone will know someone who has been affected by yesterday’s fires. This week, we can work together as a community to help each other and to hold hands with those in need. I knew yesterday that we needed to reach out in any way possible and having 62 locations will allow the Red Cross to touch every person in Amarillo who wants to help. Having grown up here, it’s what we do and it’s what everyone in the Panhandle does.”
Media partners are shown on the attached flyer and the donations will be accepted through midnight on Sunday.
