Are you ready for some delicious chili?  There is one place each year where you can get some of the best of the best in chili.  The event is the Tri-State Open Chili Championship, but we just call it the Make-A-Wish Chili Cook Off.

The Make-A-Wish Chili Cook Off has been going on for as long as I can remember.  It has become a huge tradition and a great competition.

WHAT: Tri-State Open Chili Championship a.k.a the Make-A-Wish Chili Cook Off

WHEN: Saturday, January 9th, Doors open at 11am and is open til the chili runs out

WHERE: Rex Baxter Building on the Tri-State Fair Grounds

COST: The purchase of a cup for all the chili tasting

Live Entertainment, a silent auction and all proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The event is open to all ages.

Plus, if you have a really great chili recipe and you would like to compete you can do that also.  Here’s the details:

CASI and goody bags to first 100 cooks
Ground meat only
Cooks party on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Turn in at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016
Top 3 chilis and 1st place show qualify for Terlingua International Chili Championship
