So over the holidays I was able to read a really great book by Seth Grahame-Smith.  It took one of my favorite book characters, the vampire, and mixed in a little history and a little suspense and lots of blood.

The book is "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."  This book takes events in history and the life of Abraham Lincoln, and takes it to a different level.  Seth Grahame-Smith, Buffyizes (as in Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Abraham Lincoln.   It literally starts with Abraham as a child, and tells the story of how he became a vampire hunter.

It follows him through his adult life and through his political offices and into the Presidency.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this book but I loved it.  So if you are looking for a good read that takes you away from everyday life and teaches you a bit of history in the process then pick up a copy of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Here's a great video put together to promote the book.  It's slightly violent graphic because a vampire is involved.

I hear that the movie is in the works.  IMDB is reporting that Tim Burton is producing the movie with director Timur Bekmambetov and Eric Bana in the lead role as Abraham Lincoln.

Anyway, if you love to read pick up a copy of the book today.

Seth Grahame-Smith also wrote "Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies."  He took the classic book and intertwined Zombies.  That's next on my reading list.

Have you read "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?"  Did you like the book?
