You had a bad day....so you are in a bad mood....all you want to do is go home and go to bed. Is that a good idea? Probably not.

According to a new study, being in a bad mood is actually good for your productivity. The study found that when people are unhappy, it actually helps them focus, manage their time, and prioritize.

There of course is one catch. If you're the kind of person who is able to turn around a bad mood quickly and feel happy again....then no, you won't be more productive. This is only a benefit for people who stew in their bad moods for a long time.

So next time you are in a bad mood....that is ok......get some housework done....or work some more on that big project at work. You will be able to focus more.
