You May Be Eating More than You Think When You Open Up A Can Of Food

When it comes to eating food, there are some things you just don’t think about. Especially when you get it out of a can, or from the freezer section of your grocery store. However, the food you eat can contain things that you would never eat. For example, insects, rodent hairs, and mold. Yeah, I know it is gross and it makes me never want to eat again. The FDA recently released a new handbook on just how many insects, rodent droppings and mold can be in the food you purchase and eat.
Broccoli – can contain 60 aphids per 3.5 oz

Frozen Fruit Juices – such as Orange Juice and Grapefruit juice can contain at least 10% mold
Macaroni – can contain 4.5 rodent hairs per 8 oz
Canned Mushrooms – can contain 20 maggots per 100 grams
Peanut Butter – average of 30 insect fragments per 100 grams that comes out to be about 7 tablespoons
Popcorn – Must have less than two rodent hairs

in more than half of the subsamples. Also, must have no more than one piece of rodent excrement in the subsamples.
Canned Tomatoes – Average of 10 or more fly eggs per 500 grams
I know it is very gross and we don’t realize that we eat this stuff. ICK! I guess it is more protein in our diet.
