Recently I was driving back to Amarillo from a trip to Dallas. I try to stop only once while on the drive. It is usually to get gas. This last trip I pushed it to the limit for that stop from Dallas. I figured I could make it to the Buc-ee's for that fill-up. I wanted to test how easy it was to fill-up there and if I could get gas and not go inside. I mean it was getting late. I had to be up early.

I had only been in a Buc-ee's one other time on my way out of town. I had a time issue on that trip and needed to get on the road. I needed an Amarillo Buc-ee's shirt for my granddaughter. I just had to stop. So I am guilty of not ever spending the time needed in a Buc-ee's. It will happen, though.

This trip I coasted in with nine miles until empty. I am glad I made the stop because the price of gas was cheaper than anywhere else nearby. It was easy off and even easier to get back on the road.

Have you seen how many gas pumps they have? The whole thing was simple. This is going to be my go-to for fill-ups when I am heading in or out of town from now on. I will just make sure I have plenty to make it back a little less stressful. Nine miles until empty was a bit much.
