Amarillo’s Newest Grocery Store Closer to Opening

Amarillo has had the sole Market Street at 26th and Georgia since January of 2000. The one and only Market Street experience in our area. That is about to change though. News came out that a second location was coming to Hollywood and Coulter.

It was supposed to open back in the fall of 2023 but that got pushed back. They have been working on it and trying to get it opened and it is getting closer. Every time I drive by I have to watch the progression. Ooh, it is getting ever so close.

Then you realize how close you are getting when they are starting to look for employees. I mean come on. How close are we? The hiring process and then the training process. All that will be left is the shopping process for us.

So for now we have plenty of United's. We have the one Market Street on Georgia that is in the process of getting a whole new identity. Every time I walk in that store you can tell all of the progress they have made.

I can only imagine that they are tailoring that one to look like the one coming in on Coulter Street. If that is the case I can't wait to see. If you or someone you know is looking for a job. Here is that one step closer. They are about to have a hiring event.

There are plenty of jobs to take. Make sure you get a resume together. Put together your best outfit and keep that smile on your face. Once the hiring event comes and goes and those positions are filled we are one step closer to shopping.
