Last Christmas I got to spend a week in Amarillo with my granddaughter. It was just Laila and Mimi time. We had different fun activities throughout the week to keep her playing and ready for bedtime each evening.

One of the fun times that she still talks about is going to Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm for their Christmas Lights. Walking through the gates of the Pumpkin Farm this past October she still asked the staff where she could find Rudolph and Santa. She didn't get it was too early for them. She is only three. She had to just settle for the fact they were getting ready for Christmas.

Now we are getting close to the time to see Santa and Rudolph again as Maxwell's is opening up for their Amarillo Lights starting November 29th. They will still have a lot of the same fan favorites.

My granddaughter spent more time feeding and talking to the goats and llamas. She just loved that part. When we finally got her away from that she loved playing in the playground. Mimi got to take thousands of pictures. There are over a million lights so lots of great photo opportunities.

Of course, Santa and other Christmas fan favorites will be out there. You know like Rudolph. The kiddos will get their visit with Santa and you will get more photos.

Santa will make his grand entrance around 6 pm every evening. Come meet the man in red, snap a picture and make those last-minute wish requests!

Maxwell's is open for the season from November 29th - December 23rd - Friday through Sunday starting at 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm.  Then starting December 18th they will be open nightly same hours through the 23rd. There will be plenty of time to get the family out and see all the beautiful and bright Christmas lights.

The best part is a flash sale is going on right now so you can get discounted tickets through November 14th at 11:59pm. Get your tickets HERE.
