Amarillo’s Fun Noodle Bar Shut Down Despite Passing Health Department Grade
Restaurants in the Amarillo area have a lot to deal with on a daily basis. They have to make sure to provide great food and service. They have to make sure they have the staff that is needed to provide both of those to the customer. They also have to deal with the Amarillo Health Department.
I remember my years of working in the restaurant business and what we had to do on the daily to keep the restaurant compliant. I also knew that when we heard someone scream "health department" all of the small mundane things we hurried to do so we wouldn't be dinged.

I don't ever remember a time that a place I worked failed an inspection. I also don't remember a time where we passed but were forced to close anyway. That is a new one to me. That is exactly what happened recently to Fun Noodle Bar on Georgia.
The health department paid them a visit recently. They received a B, with a numerical score of 86. The crazy thing is that the health department still closed them down. The stuff they got dinged for was bad enough to shut them down.
Health Department Visit Ends in Closure
Recently they posted the health department report on the door with their own note saying they were remodeling. Over the weekend the sign about the remodel was still there but not the health department report saying they were closed.
What the Inspection Found
The note makes it seem like they are doing this for our benefit and they are. It is just that the health department is making them. The issues that closed them down center around roaches and other things you don't want to see in a place you like to eat.
Fun Noodle Bar’s Response
You can read the report from the Amarillo Health Department and decide for yourself. They have until November 3, 2025, to get everything in tip-top shape.
I will say that I have been inside this establishment several times while out delivering food and never saw a problem. During this "remodel" I hope they fix everything that they need. I hope they get to running smoothly again.
Community Reaction and Hope for Reopening
I also hope that they keep the ship sailing smoothly and something like this doesn't happen again. I know a lot of people who really enjoy the food.
