Transformation in Amarillo, Texas: Empty Building Welcomes New Business – Who?
As businesses come and go in Amarillo, Texas there is a time we get to sit and wonder about an empty building. We get to hope and wish that something we love could be moving in. We go through the stages of listing every business we want to see come to Amarillo.
Every day when I am coming to work or leaving I pass one of these particular buildings. It sits on 34th near Bell Street. At one point part of it housed Baskin Robbins. They turned into Kaleidoscoops. Then after many years when they closed, we got Bunny Flakes & Crepes.
They got a lot of great reviews but unfortunately didn't last either. There was talk at one point that they would come back in a new location. That has not happened.

Since then this building has sat empty. At one point this past summer there was a sign up in front about it being sold at auction. So we just knew someone was going to snap it up.
Then the oversized dumpsters moved into the parking lot. There have been walls knocked down. Yes, I drive by every day so I have been keeping an eye on this building. I took to searching online to see who might have taken this area over.
When I did a search at Potter-Randall Appraisal District on the address I found out some interesting information. It seems the new owners were PZW Investments.
Who Exactly is PZW Investments LLC?
I did a search of PZW Investments to find out. I also looked up the address on Washington Street. They both point to the same people owning this location near 34th and Bell.
Green Gorilla is currently in that location at 3300 Washington. So that is who that new location links back to. Are they moving in? When? Of course, I will continue to drive by and keep an eye on this location to see if that answer sticks.
