Now Open – Fire Couldn’t Keep This Amarillo Chicken Place Down

Back in February the Popeyes on Paramount here in Amarillo suddenly closed down. There was a fire. The health department shut them down. They sat there closed since then. We thought they were reopening soon because of an updated sign. Then the sign came down.

We were not sure when or if they were ever going to reopen. Then magically they had a post on social media looking for employees. So yes, they were in the process of reopening. This was very hopeful news.

That post was just a few days ago but they were serious about getting reopened and soon. We received a message just days after the "now hiring" posts and that message let us know that Popeyes on Paramount is back open.

I had to drive by and see it for myself. Were they open? Could we get that Louisiana flavor again? When I drove by there was a car in the drive-thru but I had to make sure. I had gone by just after the fire to find someone at the drive-thru trying to order, not realizing they were closed. So that was not the true test.

As I drove around to the front I saw employees inside. I saw customers. I also saw the updated sign. Yes, they are open. When I stopped by the store a day later they told me that they opened last Tuesday. Finally, they are back.

They are still hiring. They are still looking for people to add to the location but they are open and ready to serve you.
