The area of 58th and Georgia has really grown a lot in the past few years. There have been a lot of places that have opened for the convenience of all the homes and apartments out that way.

They got the newest Joe Taco in the area. They have a hopping new breakfast spot in OVR EZE. They have all the favorites of Starbucks and McDonald's. There is pizza, a gym, and even some shopping.

There have been many questions about the newest Chick-fil-A that is supposed to be opening in the area soon. Everyone wants to know when. I guess part of it is because everyone knows the hype around their opening. If it's like any of the other Chick-fil-A's there is an incentive to being one of the first one hundred in the location.

When they opened the location on 26th and Georgia I was really wanting to camp out to be able to get free Chick-fil-A for a year. I, at the time, lived on the street directly behind the store so I thought home-field advantage would help me. My daughter could bring me supplies easily. When the time came back in 2011 she wasn't going to be in town. There went that plan.

I am assuming that this new location will have the same promotion when they open. When will they be opening, though, is the question. They are getting a step closer. Their Facebook page has started the search for employees.

They have to have employees before they can even think about opening. Then after they are hired the training will begin. Everyone will have to be trained to have "my pleasure" be the first words out of their mouth anytime someone says thank you.

So it is getting closer. The location is still being worked on but it is getting close. So let's get the employees hired and let's get some more of that heavenly chicken in the area soon.
