When Donuts Are More of an Experience, New Amarillo Place to Open

Who is ready for a new place to get donuts here in Amarillo? I remember when the idea of anything different would not be heard of. I remember when Donut Stop ran Krispy Kreme out of Amarillo. We can be that way here in Amarillo.

Not anymore. We like to have options now. It really is best for everyone. Since we have had several places open. Variety is definitely the slice of life.

We started hearing about Mochinut late last year. Another donut place with a twist. It's probably something you haven't tried before. Kudos to Amarillo for something new.

Mochinuts will combine mochi with donuts. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake. The dough is made from steamed rice, then they combine that with a donut. These are not the normal everyday donuts that you are used to. OK, sounds interesting and I am all ready to try it. Luckily I don't have to wait long.

When Will Mochinut Open in Amarillo?

According to their Facebook page, the wait is not much longer. Soon you will be able to try this new donut experience.

Not only will Mochinut be serving their donuts. They do have other things on their menu. They will also have bubble tea. Oh, and if you have tried that you know how addictive it can be. So that will be a big seller.

They also will serve Korean hot dogs. I am intrigued by this. So be watching for a follow-up review. I mean sometimes I really love my job.

If donuts are not enough to satisfy your sweet tooth don't worry they also offer several choices in soft serve as well.

So if you are like me and love to try all of our new places your time is coming. You will soon be able to say that you have had both a Korean hot dog and a Mochinut. What a wonderful place we live.

Just be ready for their soft opening coming up on January 25th.
