Thanksgiving is a time to be spent with family and friends, and that's why so many stores in Texas decided not to open their doors for Black Friday deals on the evening of Thanksgiving anymore.

However, there are still SOME stores that keep their doors open on the holiday, and not after 6 pm. I mean we find that there are things we need on Thanksgiving Day, but the bigger question becomes, where do you go?

One thing we know that will be open are gas stations/convenience stores. They don't seem to close for any reason. However, there's a good chance you'll pay a bit of a premium above going to just say a Walmart for those batteries you need for the electric turkey carver.

Another thing that's typically open, albeit with shorter hours, are grocery stores. So places like United Supermarkets & Market Street will be open for you to grab those things you forgot on your Thanksgiving shopping trip.

However, if it's just getting away from the craziness that can be Thanksgiving, there will be some stores you can get away to and maybe knock out a little Christmas shopping. Even if you don't buy anything, the ability to just wander around a store and decompress can be a great thing.

So here are 10 places that will most likely be open on Thanksgiving Day. I say most likely because while these places were open last year on Thanksgiving Day, they may have changed their tune this year. Please call your local store before just jumping there.
