Over the last few months, Amarillo has seen Long John Silver's and a new Burlington open their doors. In the past year, Qdoba opened a restaurant, two new restaurants opened in Canyon, and we got a Buc-ee's.

As the population of Amarillo continues to grow, the citizens want new places to shop and eat that you normally wouldn’t find here. People don't want to drive two to four hours or more to patronize a business, but they will. However, it would be easier to open a business here.

Keeping Money Local in Amarillo

Just because Lubbock has it, doesn't mean Amarillo shouldn't. We want to keep our money local so we can help our local economy. Yes, we can drive to Lubbock for H-E-B, Costco, or The Cheesecake Factory, but we would rather spend our money in Amarillo.
