Being outdoors is awesome, but what if you also like enjoying the indoors watching movies, and eating popcorn and candy?   What if you could combine the two together?

The outdoors and a movie.  First, you take a nearby lake, second, you put up a movie screen, and third you invite people to enjoy an amazing weekend!  It's a win/win.  being outdoors and watching a movie.  Here's your chance to enjoy an outdoor movie with an amazing view.

Movies at the Lake is Back!!

Friends of Lake Meredith and Alibates along with The National Parks Service are once again hosting movies at Lake Meredith.

The first movie this season will be on Saturday, April 29th, at the Lake Meredith Amphitheater.   The event will kick off at 7:30 pm by honoring local First Responders.

Then at 8:30 pm, the movie will begin.  The movie that they will be showing is Courageous.

Concessions will be available for purchase. Don't worry this won't be the only Movie at Lake Meredith this year.

The schedule for this year's Movies at the Lake are:

• Saturday, June 10th, 9 pm
• Saturday, July 1st, 9:30 pm
• Saturday, September 2nd, 8:30 pm
• Saturday, October 28th, 7 pm

The movies are to be determined.

Lake Meredith is about a 40-minute drive from Amarillo.  Mark your calendars and take your family on a road trip for some family fun.  Heck, you could even make it a weekend and set up camp at the lake.
