Christmas is a magical time of year. Everybody loves the magic that comes with Christmas. Especially watching it all through a child's eyes. It's just great to see how much a child gets excited for Santa to arrive.

I was just scrolling through Facebook the other day, just minding my own business. A post caught my attention and I didn't understand why there is so much hate in Amarillo. What is going on?

Back when the Beach Boys announced that they were coming back to Amarillo I made the joke that maybe Uncle Jesse would make an appearance. If you watched Full House at all you know John Stamos, a.k.a, Uncle Jesse, played some with the Beach Boys.

A night on the beach in Amarillo? Yeah, it's happening.

Oh my goodness the cost it takes to raise a baby. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Right? I really think it takes a village's paycheck to make it possible.

The doors were open for the Amarillo Fire Department to add some new power to the force. Now was the time to take that first step to become a firefighter here in Amarillo.

Hey it's always a good time when you can be in the same room with three ex-Dallas Cowboys players. Oh and I am talking about names you will actually recognize. So I mean we got this going for Amarillo.

I have worked for several of our local sports teams over the years. I hung out at the ticket booth and was on the mic in between innings for the Amarillo Sox. I ran all over the Amarillo Civic Center for many years as well for the Amarillo Bulls. I even spent some time doing the same thing for the Amarillo Venom.

Here we are at the start of November which means it's time to think about Christmas shopping. You may think it's too early but I like to spread it out one paycheck at a time. It really does make it a lot easier on the bank account.

When you have kids or even, in my case, grandkids you know they need a lot of stuff. When my daughter was preparing for the birth of her first child she realized how much stuff this tiny baby was going to need.

As we are approaching the weekend we start looking for things to do to enjoy our time. I'm not against having a full calendar. I mean our calendars have been very thin over the past year. So overscheduling is not really a problem these days.

I was scrolling through Facebook the other day and let me tell you that is how I find about a lot of great things happening in Amarillo. I found one the other day that blew my mind. I mean if you are a parent or even on the verge of becoming a parent this is something you need to check out.
