Is something about to happen to Amarillo's Munchies?

Getting out on a date night is very important. Even in the strongest of relationships, it is important to take time for yourselves. Some couples get to enjoy one another's company a lot. Some couples have kids and finding time to take a shower is a good day. Let alone a date night.

It has been a whirlwind of a story. Amanda's Cafe has been in and out of the restaurant review pages. When they first opened up I would see Amanda posting all of their great food specials.

When I saw this story pop up on my timeline I had to check it. Oh and check it twice. I remember when you would go into a restaurant in Amarillo and would be asked whether you wanted a smoking or non smoking section.

We want it. We deserve it. We need it. I am talking about free food on that important day that you were born. It used to be that every place did something special for your big day. That is not the case anymore.

I hated hearing about this

I drove by this new restaurant, Amanda's Cafe, over the weekend to get a picture of it for another story. The parking lot was pretty full. They were doing some pretty good business. This was on a Sunday around lunchtime.

The portions are big, the meat is meaty, and there's precious little to complain about!

A lot of businesses have had to do a lot to stay in business in 2020. Some started to offer delivery. Some learned how to accomplish curbside delivery. Other's redid their market plan and knocked a hole in their wall.

Really I don't get how people can really be so awful. We have so many great people that do so much for our community here in Amarillo and then you see stories like this. My daughter was visiting from Dallas and she found this pop up on her timeline.

I like seeing news of new places opening up. This means that our economy may be finally getting back to normal. Restaurants bring open to serve you inside the dining room.
