I have worked for several of our local sports teams over the years. I hung out at the ticket booth and was on the mic in between innings for the Amarillo Sox. I ran all over the Amarillo Civic Center for many years as well for the Amarillo Bulls. I even spent some time doing the same thing for the Amarillo Venom.

The school year is coming to an end. The thoughts of summer break is fast approaching. I know after the last school year and the lack of celebrating anything in 2020 here we are and we are ready for some fun.

This Halloween is certainly going to be a bit different this year. The Amarillo Venom Football team will be hosting Trunk or Treat October 31 at Gene Messer Ford

OK....I will say I have been able to do a lot living here in Amarillo. Oh, I have a bucket list. I could be called up. Oh, take the mound. Why not? I love baseball! I love the stuff that Amarillo has let me do.

In the beginning of Covid-19 we saw a lot of things shutting down. We saw the schools, restaurants, shopping, travel and to add to all of that the Amarillo Civic Center.Of course all the events were being cancelled or postponed anyway.

A new flavor in regional professional sports is coming to Amarillo.

Tons of local businesses come together to help clothe children in poverty.

Welcome to another edition of Lori's Community Insider.   Today I got to interview a member of our community who works very hard.  This episode is all about Stephanie Tucker.  Stephanie is the owner of the Amarillo Venom Indoor Football Team.

It's time to go cheer on your favorite indoor football team this Saturday in their last game of the regular season.  Not only do you get to cheer them on, you get to help out the Children's Miracle Network.

We often go day to day not realizing that we have super heroes here in our community.  They may not wear a cap and tights, but they save lives and protect our community.  This weekend, the Amarillo Venom is honoring these brave men and women.
