What is it about a person that makes them think it is ok to poison or shoot a domesticated animal? What's going on with that?

Sometimes you see things that make you question humanity and wonder how the human race can be so cruel.

An Amarillo man stabbed a dog at John Stiff Park after pretending to play with it as the owner watched.

One of the sad things in life is seeing an animal abused or mistreated.  A lot of time our law enforcement isn't equipped on how to handle situations where animal cruelty is involved.  However, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will be training over 60 police officers on how to fight animal cruelty.

I was looking for something to watch the other day on TV and decided to see what was available on Netflix. While scrolling through the Documentary section, I came across the movie 'Blackfish.'

I love animals.  I love my dogs and I cannot imagine how people can hurt animals.  I don't understand neglect and I certainly do not understand how people can put animals in a ring and let them fight to the death for money and pleasure.  It breaks my heart.
