We are officially in the summer months. We officially hit that on Saturday.So with that people are getting outside a lot more. That is great! We need that after the spring we had. The sun can do some great things for you. It also can damage you.

Summer may not have officially arrived in Amarillo just yet, but we are going to feel some extreme heat on Thursday throughout the panhandle.

From snow earlier in the month, to some strong storms, and now record heat, April 2020 will certainly be one to remember.

This summer has been pretty warm. Hot even. A lot of the country had an actual heat wave.

Amarillo heat during the summer can be brutal but just hearing that you need to drink “lots” of water can be unclear.

We have had some beautiful weather here in the Texas Panhandle. We have also had some less than stellar days. It's I guess what we love about the Panhandle.

Amarillo has seen some really crazy heat this summer. It's crazy how many days we hit 100 degrees or more so far.....and it's not even August yet.

Temperatures will be record-breaking across the Texas panhandle over the next couple of days.

It's looking like the panhandle could be in for several days of 100+ temperatures this week and it could lethal for your pets.

I know it's going to be a hot day.....but I forget ALL the time to crack my car windows or to put up my sun shade. So everyday when I get in my car it is like an oven.

We've spent the weekend figuring out where to get shaved ice. Better yet we made a map of all the places you can hit up.

With temperatures soaring near record highs earlier than expected, air conditioners and electric bills are getting a workout. What happens when those bills get so high you can't afford to pay?
