Market Street

I have always been a big fan of Market Street. That is where I do ALL of my shopping. I remember when it opened. I was thrilled to have a grocery store in my neighborhood again. I remember the days of Homeland being where the Dollar Tree is now.

This has been a crazy past few months. If you have a baby that is formula fed you probably have noticed the issues in the store. First, there was a formula shortage. We noticed it here in Amarillo.

You can never be too careful with your information. I mean you have to make sure all of your personal info is just where you can find it. I am talking about the important stuff that the bad guys can use to wreak havoc on your life.

It never seems to fail. We find out about snow and we have to run out and buy up everything? Why? I don't get it.

I am simple when it comes to Christmas shopping. It's not that I don't care. I do know my family and friends. It's usually the time constraint. I do know what my family loves. To be honest my daughter, like a lot of people, prefer and ask for gift cards.

For about five or six months of the year you can find me and one of my friends doing a lot of walking around Amarillo. You will know it is us because we are wearing bright pink.

Growing up in the care free world of being a child who knew that dinner would be that decision that would haunt us as adults. I mean every night it is a huge topic of conversation. What are we going to eat. Even if you live alone it is still that difficult choice.

Do you know that moment when you are walking down an aisle in your favorite grocery store and something catches your eye? You are not quite sure if what you think you saw you actually did. I mean are you going crazy? Were you suddenly transported to the late eighties early nineties?

I went grocery shopping the other day. I always make sure when I have produce on my shopping list that United is my go-to place. I am never disappointed with my purchase. My daughter wanted to stop and get some fruit before she headed home.

If there is one thing I can stand behind each and every year it is the great scents of Hatch Green Chile's roasting every year. This is a great time of year. Your nasal passages can open up just by walking into a United Supermarket.

Ok when I saw the announcement on Facebook recently I could not have been more excited. I am like a kid at heart so yeah the news that United Supermarket had me with a smile on my face.

There is no surprise that we have a shortage of workers here in Amarillo. Heck all over the country. People have been unemployed and collecting that extra cash. That is ending soon.
