Looking back at the timeline of Amarillo is fascinating, from its beginnings in the cattle business and agriculture to the railroad moving in, to an Air Force base, to the Yellow City today.

We have to admit that we live in a very special place. The Texas Panhandle is full of people with big hearts. I have never really had any doubt that we live with some of the best people.

Their selfless sacrifice allows us the freedoms we have. Let us never forget them.

The unthinkable happened when a family stopped in Amarillo for a night.

Christmas time is a time of family and friends.  However, sometimes our family and friends don't always get to come home for the Holidays.  That is especially true for our troops serving in the US Military.  They don't get to come home for Christmas.  However, we have a few soldiers who want to wish their family here in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle a Merry Christmas.
