I miss the good ol' days. We didn't have to worry so much about locking our front doors. Heck a lot of us didn't. We didn't all have security systems and cameras to keep our stuff safe.

Since the start of social media, I think that people have been getting lazier and lazier. How often do we see someone run to social media when they have a problem? You were missing your fries? Just complain on social media that will show them.

I hate that we live in a world where something like this even has to be said or done, but here we are talking about it again.

It's going to be that crazy time of the year soon. We will be running from store to store trying to get our holiday's lined up. We will be shopping for food. We will be shopping for presents. It just gets to be so crazy.

We can never be too safe. We have to be a society that pretty much questions everything. I hate that we can't be trusting and that we can't just know that any email, phone call, text or letter can't be legitimate.

We really need to lighten up a bit. We need to enjoy the funny things we see here in Amarillo. If you just drive around town you will see many things that you can only see in Amarillo.

So of course this is the time of year that we all are shopping non stop. We run to the store for gifts. We go online to shop as well. There was Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and of course yesterday was Cyber Monday.

Just because we are in the middle of a pandemic doesn't mean that things slow down for anyone. There are still people that need our help. That is why Potter County Sheriff's Office figured out a way to continue to have a cookout. They have this one every year to help out one of their own
