As we begin 2018, the Amarillo Public Library begins their first Amarillo Reads of the year. This season's Amarillo Reads has huge historical significance.

If you love to read and you have been looking for a great book to read, then the Amarillo Public Library has the perfect book for you.  Every season the Amarillo Public Library introduces a book for Amarillo Reads and then schedules several activities around the book.  Amarillo Reads for Spring just happens to be, Kind of Kin by Rilla Askew.

Each season the Amarillo Public Library features an author and a book or books by said author, for their Amarillo Reads Program.  This winter they will be focusing on Mary Shelley and starting with the book Frankenstein.

As you know I have been on a reading kick.  Yes, I found my love for reading again. I don't even watch TV anymore.  It's all about a good book.  So in the last few weeks that I have been reading.  Keep in mind, I'm catching up on some books that have been out awhile.

I have always loved to read.   I absolutely love a good book.   I always find myself getting caught up in a awesome series, Ann Rice's Vampire Chronicles,Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games Trilogy, The Sookie Stackhouse Novels aka the Southern Vampire Series.  As a kid I read all the Christopher Pike books, and loved Stephen King and Dean Koontz.  I fell in love with the Left Behind series as well.
