Dear (Show) My husband and I had a fight last night that has carried over to this morning. Our 11 year old son came to us late last night and told us he is going to fail a test today because he got lazy over the weekend and failed to study for it. I told my husband to call the school and tell them our son is sick so he can study and take the test tomorrow. He said we shouldn't do that and should allow him to fail because it will teach him responsibility. This started the fight. I told him we have a chance to change the course of life and should do that. He disagreed. I ended up winning the fight and called my son out sick today. Did I make the right choice?

Tamales are one of those foods I never ate growing up. I never even knew what a tamale was until I moved to Texas in the late eighties. Boy was I missing out.

OK football season is here. Pumpkin Spice season is here. Hatch Green Chile season has come and gone. People are getting ready for Halloween, then Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We do have a lot of great seasons and a lot of great foods to kick them off. We have green chili season, pumpkin season and NOW it's the start of tamale season.
