2013 Child Sex Crime Case Ends in a Guilty Verdict Against Paul John Martinez
The case against Paul John Martinez, in the 251st District Court in Randall County ended with a guilty verdict. Martinez was originally arrested on October 22, 2013 on charges of possession of child pornography.
On November 4, 2013 the charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child/Victim under 14 was added.
Martinez was found guilty on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 on those charges of ten counts of possession of child pornography, one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact, and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The punishment was 10 years on each of the 10 pornography charges, 20 years for indecency with a child and life in prison on each count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. These are the maximum sentences that could be given.
