1982 - Soul master TEDDY PENDERGRASS was PARALYZED from the waist down when his Rolls Royce bounced off a divider and slammed into a tree in Philadelphia.

Four years later, he was seriously injured AGAIN, when his HAND-CONTROLLED VAN crashed into a power pole.  (--Teddy died last year after a battle with colon cancer.)
