Desk Jockeys Go From Yule-o to YOLO in New ‘Office Christmas Party’ Trailer
Come Christmastime, there’s nothing quite like sharing in the generous Yuletide spirit by singing a few carols, trading presents, and getting completely wasteycakes-drunk with all your favorite coworkers. Unrestrained bacchanalian debauchery is the reason for the season this year in the Office Christmas Party trailer, picking up where the drug-fueled shenanigans of last year's The Night Before left off. Pour yourself a glass of eggnog, spike it with some additional alcohol, pop a tab of Ecstasy in there if you're feeling particularly merry, and buckle up for the bumpiest sleigh ride of the year.
At Last, ‘13 Going on 30’ Is Coming to Broadway
After more than a decade of patiently waiting, my fellow 13 Going on 30 diehards have reason to rejoice. Today, Deadline has the exclusive that all of our steadfast prayers have at last been answered, and that a stage musical adaptation of the 2004 Jennifer Garner vehicle is headed to Broadway. With a script from original screenwriters Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa and music and lyrics from Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (the minds behind the recent First Date), the story of Jenna Rink’s magical transformation into herself after the fun part of her life is over will be reborn.
Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard’s ‘Allied’ Gets a Glossy New Poster and TV Spot
Halloween is very nearly upon us, and there’s hardly any film more appropriate for the season than Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming Allied. Though it may be set for a release on November 23, the suspenseful account of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), who’s forced to investigate rumors that his beloved wife Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) may be a Nazi spy, fully embodies the spirit of the ‘ween season. In her layers of deceptions and intrigue, Marianne wears a mask not unlike the rubbery monster-faces children don for trick-or-treating every year. That’s a valid connection, right? Yeah? Timely lede!
The Tank Gang Makes a Daring Escape in Deleted ‘Finding Dory’ Scene
This past summer's Finding Dory made a big splash at cineplexes (pardon me while I self-immolate), enchanting kid- and adult-aged viewers alike while running up the year's highest domestic gross. On the unfortunate side, however, the de rigueur short runtime of children's programming meant that some bits of the film had to be left on the cutting room floor like so many discarded fish eyeballs. Today, one lost sequence from Pixar's latest smash has been recovered and brought to the viewing public's attention.
‘The Girl on the Train’ Trailer: Emily Blunt Tracks a Killer
Hailed as the next big thing in the lurid tradition of airport paperback that spawned best-selling successes such as Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and a few novels that weren’t adapted by David Fincher, The Girl on the Train arrives as this fall’s hottest release...
‘Ninja Turtles 2’ Trailer: They’re Turtles, Whether You Like It or Not
It’s only been a few weeks since the most recent trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the sequel to the Michael Bay-produced TMNT picture of 2014, and though it also nicks the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Til Brooklyn” for the soundtrack, there are a handful of key differences that distinguish one from the other. Specifically, that this latest spot is chockablock with soundbites that, when taken out of context, could be used by audio editors to form scathing critiques of this film. As the trailer timecounter ticks on, the negative review puns basically write themselves: “We‘re turtles, whether you like it or not.” “This isn’t working!” “We keep failing.” It’s almost like they’re challenging their harshest critics to do their worst.
‘Batman vs. Superman’ Simultaneously Conquers, Flounders at Box Office
Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that Batman vs. Superman at the very least occupies an interesting space in the pop-cultural landscape: a polarizing film loathed by critics but fiercely defended by a cult fanbase while simultaneously achieving mainstream success, but now facing an unanticipated challenge...

‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’ Trailer Promises Fun, Antics, Wordplay
There are few TV shows as purely, innocently, and energetically delightful as Pee-wee’s Playhouse, the Saturday morning vehicle for Paul Reubens’ grey-suited man-child. An adult perpetually trapped at the stage of early boyhood in which kids mostly say funny nonsensical things and that’s it, Pee-Wee and his colorful gang of anthropomorphic pals brought a hefty dose of camp humor to the happy shiny
