Hey there, Rick Andrews here. I thought I would give you a little background about me. I was born and raised in Bangor, Maine and was bitten by the radio "bug" since the age of 7. By the time I was 14 years old I got my dream job and "cracked the mic" for the first time and have never looked back. My career has taken me from Maine, New York, California and New Mexico. Rick has been described as a "walking encyclopedia" of music info and trivia. When not on the air at Mix 94.1, I enjoy reading entertainment Biographies, Sci-Fi and management books. I also enjoy sketching, painting, drawing and practicing card & coin magic. You usually can find me on the air Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.

My Backstage Experience At ‘The Red Tour’ Concert With Taylor Swift [VIDEO]
I had the chance last week to head to Tulsa, OK to see Taylor Swift on 'The Red Tour,' and I have to tell you it was amazing.
I've liked most of Taylor's songs, but decided that I really wanted to see what she was like live. I was not disappointed.
One of the perks of being in radio is that I have opportunities, from time to time, to go backstage and meet a performer. Luckily, this was one of thos

I know that the question of 'should casino gambling be legalized in Texas?' is a pretty much yes or no answer. Recently a friend of mine told me that his granddaughter was getting interested in magic.

Since magic is one of my hobbies, I knew a pretty good amount of some of the self-working tricks and a few that need minimal setup.
The cool thing is that tricks I'll mention are inexpensive and almost anyone can perform th

The Deadliest Catch: 5.2 Things I Learned While Watching The Show
A friend of mine turned me on to the Deadliest Catch the other night.

Throwback Thursday: Rick Andrews’ Baby Pic
I was reading through some of the posts from my friends' Facebook pages and kept seeing 'Throwback Thursday' photos. For some reason I have been late to this party, but today I finally decided to pull the trigger and toss one up.
[Review] Justice League : The Flashpoint Paradox [VIDEO]
Just like in the movie 'The Butterfly Effect,' what would happen if we could go back in time and change just one thing in history?
I'm not talking about preventing the assassination of Kennedy or erasing World War II, but something more personal, like the tragic loss of a loved one.
That's the original starting point of the newest release from DC Animations' latest direct-to-video release.

Everyone Needs A ‘Quiet Place.’ Where Is Yours?
The stress of work and life sometimes can get to the point where you need to just 'take a break' and get away from it all.
Just like Winnie the Pooh had his thinking spot, we should all have a 'quiet place.' That one location where we can just relax, unwind and shut the world out for a bit. It can really do a world of good physically and, even more important, mentally.
My quiet place has always be
