Amarillo has a great zoo and it is a fun place to visit. They also have a great volunteer program.  If you are looking for a great place to donate some of your time, or a great place to get volunteer experience then the Amarillo Zoo is a great place to get that experience.  They are currently taking applications for their ZooCrew.

WHAT: ZooCrew Volunteer Training Open House

WHEN: Saturday, March 4th  - 1-3pm

WHERE: The Amarillo Zoo, NE 24th and Dumas Highway inside Thompson Park

DEADLINE: March 10, 2017

The Amarillo Zoo is hosting training classes for anyone ages 13 and over who would love to volunteer at the zoo and become a ZooCrew volunteer.  They are looking for people interested in opportunities to work with the animals, educating zoo guests and help with events.  During the open house you'll be able to find out more about the program and ask questions.

You will need to fill out an application and go through an interview process.  You can pick up an application at the Zoo or you can apply online.

Remember applications must be received by March 10, 2017.

If you are accepted into the program you will be charged a fee of $25 for the cost of the uniform and training manual.  All accepted volunteers must attend a training class and agree to work a minimum of 2 – four-hour shifts each month.

Training will be March 21, 23,28 & 30 from 6-8pm.  You must attend all training sessions.
