Thank You Amarillo For Your Generous Donations to the Fritch Fire Relief

On May 11, 2014 wildfires spread through the city of Fritch destroying or damaging over 2500 acres of land and over 130 homes and buildings.  The residents of the Panhandle came together to help their fellow men, women and families, who lost their homes.  We were able to send a moving truck full of supplies to the area a few days after it happened.  After that we teamed up with our friends at ProNews 7 and Toot N Totum and you, to help raise money for the Fritch Fire Relief.  Let me just say you stepped up to the challenge.  Your generous donations totaled over $35,000 for the relief efforts.

Night At the Museum: Panhandle Plains Historical Museum Style

I don't know about you but when I think of Night at the Museum, I think of Ben Stiller fighting with a Capuchin Money and being chased by T-Rex while receiving advice from Teddy Roosevelt on a horse.  However, the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum is having their annual Night at the Museum this Friday. No they haven't secretly uncovered the tablet of Ahkmenrah.  You won't be able to play fetch with a dinosaur, nor  see an Easter Island Head blow a big bubble gum bubble, and don't expect Attila the Hun, or tiny cowboys or Romans fighting each other but expect something amazing. You will get to experience the museum in a new way.  In the dark.

Old Fashioned Customer Service Doesn’t Exist Anymore [SURVEY]

I know as the world moves on people evolve, however, should good manners go out the window?  I had two instances this weekend where I am convinced that good customer service doesn't exist anymore.  Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to go off on a rant, however, I'm just curious if this is just something that happens on a regular basis.

My kindergartener will not be a repeat offender. I said it wouldn't happen. I said he would most definitely have to be a kindergartener twice... not because of his ability to master the concepts taught in kinder, but because he's a bit of a wild child.
