Here’s Another ‘Bill and Ted 3’ Update From Alex Winter to Get Your Hopes Up

Bill & Ted 3 has been in the works for years, and while that prolonged development time isn’t any worse than, say, waiting for a new Pixar sequel, keep in mind that it’s been 25 years since Bill S. Preston, Esquire and Ted Theodore Logan last graced the big screen. Over the last few years, both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have assured fans that they’re very much committed to making the sequel once they’ve perfected the script and budget (and cleared their respective schedules). The latest update comes from Winter, who says the duo could reunite later this year or early next year to film Bill & Ted 3 — which definitely sounds like progress, but don’t start holding your breath just yet.

‘Finding Dory’ Concept Art Takes You Deeper Into Pixar’s Ocean Adventure

We’ve seen the trailers. We’ve met several of Dory’s new aquatic co-stars. But now Pixar is backing things up just a bit to show us how Finding Dory made the leap from page to screen, with some gorgeous new concept art from the long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo. The artwork primarily features Ellen DeGeneres’ lovably absent-minded Dory and Hank the octopus — a new character voiced by Ed O’Neill — as well as some landscapes and beautiful underwater scenes.

‘Batman vs. Superman’ Simultaneously Conquers, Flounders at Box Office

Love it or hate it, there’s no denying that Batman vs. Superman at the very least occupies an interesting space in the pop-cultural landscape: a polarizing film loathed by critics but fiercely defended by a cult fanbase while simultaneously achieving mainstream success, but now facing an unanticipated challenge...

‘The Lost City of Z’ Trailer: Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson Head Into the Jungle

James Gray (The Immigrant) has been developing a film based on David Grann’s best-selling non-fiction book The Lost City of Z for a long, long time. Brad Pitt was originally set to star in the harrowing drama, and his Plan B production banner remained on board even though he eventually dropped out. Now starring Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson, the first trailer for The Lost City of Z has arrived, offering a sneak peek at one man’s daring expedition into the Amazon to commune with a primitive tribe.

‘Starman’ Remake in the Works With Shawn Levy, Despite the Existence of ‘Midnight Special’

Maybe a more accurate headline would be “Starman remake in the works despite — or perhaps because of — the existence of Midnight Special.” Either way, today’s news (which is definitely not a prank) that Night at the Museum director Shawn Levy is developing a remake of John Carpenter’s 1984 sci-fi classic is a bit baffling considering that Jeff Nichols already gave us the only updated riff on this concept that we’ll need for the foreseeable future. But that’s not going to stop this remake from happening.

The Ultimate Pixar Easter Egg (for April Fools’ Day)

People love to speculate about Pixar movies. There’s even a whole “Pixar Theory” about how every movie exists in the same shared universe (one with humans and talking toys and talking ants and a gigantic menagerie of horrors when you think about it). Then there are the famous Pixar Easter eggs; in jokes and references to other Pixar movies, both past and present, that litter the backgrounds of every single Pixar movie.

‘Finding Dory’ Adds Bill Hader and Kate McKinnon as the Perfect Fishy Couple

Just yesterday a bunch of new photos introduced us to several of the characters from Finding Dory, including some totally cute sea otters (seriously) and a pair of sea lions voiced by Idris Elba and Dominic West (The Wire reunion!). But Pixar’s long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo isn’t done casting (no pun intended) up yet, as former SNL star Bill Hader and current SNL star Kate McKinnon have joined the lineup.
