As many had predicted, Lady Gaga sold over 1 million copies of 'Born This Way' in its first week of release. The exact number is 1.11 million copies, according to EW.com, making it the 10th-highest debut for a CD, and the best-selling debut since 50 Cent's 'The Massacre' sold 1.14 million copies in March 2005.

May 26, 2011 After a record-setting 122.4 million votes, it was country crooner Scotty McCreery who was named the winner of 'American Idol' season 10.
The 17-year-old from Garner, NC, beat out 16-year-old Lauren Alaina to become the youngest 'American Idol' winner ever. He's also the fourth-consecutive male to win the reality-competition series, following David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze. (The last female to win 'American Idol' was Jordin Sparks, in 2007.)
May 25, 2011 And now for a healthy dose of nostalgia: According to the Hollywood Reporter, Vh1 is rebooting its popular series 'Pop Up Video' after a 10-year hiatus.
The network has ordered 60 brand-new episodes of the series, which will remain faithful to the original series, according to 'Pop Up Video' co-creator, Woody Thompson. The reboot will also add two new genres, rap and hip-hop, which were previously passed over "because it was the domain of sister network MTV."

May 24, 2011 I'll be honest with you. When I watch American Idol it is usually on in the background. I haven't really paid attention to it in years past, especially after Season 5 when Chris Daughtry was voted off in 4th place and Taylor Hicks (we all know how successful his career has been) won that season.

May 19, 2011 After 95 million votes, American Idol now has its two finalist of Season 10. It has been in interesting season. I have to admit out of all the seasons of American Idol that I have watched, this has to be the best season of talent ever. I can't help but wonder if it is because more kids are turning the right age for eligibility. So, it will be a country showdown next week on American Idol.
